london based label ism serves up a massive ep with three tracks from russian disco producer volta cab, all of which offer some seriously downtempo grooves. >play on< and >magic in your eyes< nail the classic sub 110bpm disco sound with its lush live instrumentation. however its the shining 80s feel of >hes a bad mutha< that is the most impressive, melding a sleazy vocal with a heart-rending combination of synths and horns. label bosses yam who? offer two remixes, with their version of >play on< a cosmic uptempo version of the original, with an ascending synth bass that elevates the original vocal to new heights. their remix of >hes a bad mutha< adds a similar amount of extra dancefloor kick, removing the originals yearning melody for something a little more forceful.

tommy walker 3 has been hiding for a while now, after releasing a slew of material in 2008 (including a release on the sadly defunct dissident). now hes back with >dance music clubbing<, and with a name like this youd probably expect this ep to either be a bit off the wall, or unintentionally awful. we are glad to say it fits into the former category, offering an ep of colourful elastic space disco mixed with a more classic vibe. opener >disconnected< sets the tone with its 80s, verging on hair metal guitar riffs. >mwj1< impresses with its almost seinfeld-esque slap bass, and synth piano stabs while >errational< is characterised by its wonky synth melody and spaced-out laser gurgles. finally >v brains< melds driving live bass with huge slabs of cosmic squelch. if you like your disco fierce, this will definitely be worth a look

hes back with one of his best releases in years: falko brocksieper, artist in residence on treibstoff, labelhead of the freshly resurrected sub static roster, dj and master of small gestures with big impact.

our dutch counterpart onno is known for his dance floor mastery. his after school ep on upon you was a multifunctionalmover that could teach any lethargic raver a few aerobic moves. >hit me< is in the same league and is completely unsuitable for yoga and pilates, so hes succesfully targeted the blonde dance instructor once again. onno brings the a1 fatburner to a peak with his charming impertinence. thomas schuhmachers pimped version of this awesome rave stepper on b1 tugs and pulls at your pants dragging you kicking and screaming to the dance parquet, where you soon realize that you never want to leave, but for those of you that want to lose some weight also know that you always need to condition yourself and >ghetto talk< on b2 is the perfect bouncy tune for that hour or so on the treadmill.

we are once again, extremely proud to welcome two further additions into the upon you league of gentlemen! franco cazzola and titta ! cazzola runs the label carnival records in his home country, hes also currently releasing on material records and has even had his name appear on sven väths infamous cocoon compilation. his track >vita brevis< is his spicy offering for the upon you sweet & sour series and has two kicking remixes to boot. one is from our polish friend pol on and the second one comes from our very own dutch regular onno. the results are definitely hot dogging around the funky house island but with each artist showing us some pretty tricky manoeuvres too

first pressing with limited colored sleeve!!! the italian born and raised fabrizio maurizi has hit the ground running at an exceptionally quick pace, starting things off with his >ok, switch on< ep, which was an instant hit for heads-down techno heads. his third release for minus is set to boost his name to new heights, further building his reputation as a newcomer who knows exactly what hes doing. he proves his expertise in looping vocal samples and tweaking them to the extreme-one of his trademark techniques, and something that gives his productions a unique and instantly recognizable twist.

whether hes producing singalong house anthems (la mezcla) or hard edged tech house (red tape), michel cleis obsession with sound has seen him garner a reputation as one of electronic musics most exciting production forces. with recent remixes such as tracey thorns >why does the wind?< and harrison crumps >deep down inside< still rocking dance floors aplenty, cleis next solo move has understandably been an eagerly anticipated one.

yore welcomes ibex to the yore family. tony ollivierra aka ibex, who is no stranger at all to the world of detroit house music, known for his outstanding releases on carl craigs >planet e< or his hot gems on 3rd ear and rushhour, returns in full effect on our 26th release. here he brings us four tracks, so deep (and yet grooving without a doubt), unique and full of class, that it still leaves us simply speechless. the music on this ep is so rich and full of musical ideaÆs, like we havent heard it since a very long time. one can tell you need history and expertise behind to drop something like this and ibex sure has what it takes. hes been releasing high quality house music since early 2000 and has been touring as a dj since the mid nineties, which all you can sense in his music. this is one of our personal favourite releases so far and we can only strongly recommend to get your copy while they last. killer ep not to be missed and already a classic today!

bosco delrey is at once a thick combination of influences and a totally unique voice in current music. diplo describes him as >a sort of garbage can elvis from new jersey... teaspoon craziness, a pinch of rockabilly, and full cup of soul dressed in a leather jacket. he cant be topped as far as song writing... hes doin the music i wish i could if i had bought a guitar<, the fader called his song >round n round hillbillyhall, and boscos own myspace says >jerry lee lewis carol king of pop<. but whatever you call him, bosco delrey is making music that is instantly accessible, totally cool, and unlike anything else on our wide-sweeping mad decent radar.
